We live in Oregon but try to escape to Los Barriles whenever work and life allow. What first drew us here was the incredible kiting, but we quickly fell in love with the town’s culture, natural beauty, and authenticity. Our connection grew so strong that we spent over two years designing and building our dream vacation home.

Luca was born the same month we finished the design of Casa Emerson. Nothing makes him smile and laugh as much as the sand and waves on the Los Barriles beach.
Erick Rosas Cota
Property Manager
Erick was born and raised in Los Barriles. His knowledge of the area is extensive and he loves to share and help. He’s on call for anything you need during your stay, from issues with the house to recommendations. He’s fluent in both English and Spanish.
The Building of Casa Emerson
Devin’s background as a structural engineer and architect proved invaluable in designing the house. He spent eight months meticulously crafting every detail, producing over 60 sheets of structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings. After two years of countless trips back and forth—and personally building all the wood furniture, cabinets, and doors—we finally completed the home. A tremendous amount of love, sweat, and care went into creating it, and we’re thrilled to share it with others. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
